2019 Volkswagen Jetta new design cues and available features
Being known as one of Europe’s top auto manufacturers carries a lot of responsibility, but if there’s any brand that has been known to knock it out of the park on a consistent basis, it’s Volkswagen. Recently at the Detroit Auto Show, we were treated to a first-hand look at the all-new Jetta, easily able to fit the bill of Volkswagen’s flagship vehicle. We invite you to join our Hansel Volkswagen team and run through the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta new design cues and available features; we’re sure you’ll love it!
2019 Volkswagen Jetta exterior features and performance specs
As with a wide range of new Volkswagen models, the 2019 Jetta will be built based on Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) architecture. In layman’s terms, this means that it features a longer wheelbase, shorter overhangs, and a taller stature. This all helps to give it a healthier and more athletic feel than in years past.
Even with all this change, you can still expect the same kind of punch that the Jetta is notable for. Its direct-injection 1.4L TSI® engine will produce 147 horsepower and a best-in-class 184 pound-feet of torque. Also, an available 8-speed automatic transmission will come in a package deal with Start-Stop Technology, greatly increasing your engine’s efficiency!
2019 Volkswagen Jetta interior design and tech innovations
What you’ll notice more than anything is that the 2019 Jetta has undergone a massive redesign inside. With soft-touch materials, trapezoidal design elements, and a 10-color wrap around ambient lighting system, it’s easy to stay comfortable and in tune with your emotions on the road. In addition, heated and ventilated front seating mixes with dual-zone automatic climate control to add extra serenity to your experience!
That’s not all; the 2019 Jetta will also feature two digital screens on your dashboard, one of them able to control all your infotainment needs with Car-Net, and the other able to show you all the essential statistics of your drive as part of the VW Digital Cockpit. Add this to available safety innovations such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Post-Collision Braking, Front Assist and more, and you’ve got yourself one stellar piece of machinery.
